There are preconditions to formally end the decades-long Korean war:

Peace can not be maintained with the paper peace agreement or declaration. You will remember that the peace agreements as Vietnam peace agreement and many peace agreements in Europe became the garbage and broke out war again.

it would be wise to pull back all military forces of both North Korea and South Korea from DMZ area. Both the North Forces and the South Forces must be deployed at the furthermost end of DMZ or the coast lines.

Without fulfilling the above mentioned preconditions the hasty declaration of the end of Korean war is unreasonable. Pray that President Trump would put the above mentioned preconditions on the table in the summit.
